He dresses with what he finds in his closet, which isn’t a lot because he is poor. He is about 20 years old

2) Bigger is a bad guy, he is a criminal because he robs and kills. Bigger is a liar also. He is aggressive because he beat up his best friend. He is a coward also because he runs away instead of facing the consequences to his actions.

3) Bigger is not educated. He talks with simple language because he doesn’t have a wide variety of words he can use.

4) Bigger at the beginning of the story wants money, but he doesn’t want money by working hard, he wants money made easily by robbing. After he kills Mary all he wants to do is to escape everyone, especially the police, he wants to live and be free.

5) He gets what he wants by getting a

job. At first he was going to rob a store but he got scared of doing the robbery so he didn’t do it. He almost managed to escape, but he was caught by the police, so he didn’t accomplish what he wanted.

6) Bigger, when he faces a problem he gets nervous and loses control over himself. When he killed Mary, he got nervous and took her head off. Another thing that he does is run away when he has a problem. He tried to run away when he knew that everyone knew that he killed Mary.

7) Bigger is mostly scared of everything. He is afraid of white people, he was afraid to rob the store, he was afraid of going to jail so he ran away. He is also crazy because when he lost control he reacted in an aggressive way. When he lost control the first time, he beat up his best friend, then he killed and decapitated Mary, and then he killed his girlfriend.

8) White people disrespected him and also discriminated him because he is black. The rest can see bigger as a crazy serial killer who is looking for people to kill because in the story he kills two people. Others see him as a coward because of the way he faces the consequences to his actions, by killing the person or running away.

9) Bigger represents a black man during the racist era and how some black people had to try and survive. He represents the types who look for the easy way out of all their problems.

10) He is a very low class person. He is very poor and lives in a very small apartment filled with rats. He isn’t educated because he dropped out of school. He tries to make money by robbing people because he thinks it’s easy so he is also lazy.

11) Bigger isn’t expected to do anything because he lived in a time where the black people had no opportunities, so no one would expect anything from him. What people might expect is for him to do something stupid and ruin his life, which he did by killing two people and running away.
Blanche

1) Blanche reflects to be a delicate and soft woman. At the beginning of the play, her appearance is incongruous to the setting, which is the city of New Orleans’s. She has an expression of disbelief, and she is “daintily” dressed in a white suit with a feathery bodice, pearl necklace and earrings, white hat and gloves. She is about 30 years old, and is about 5 years older than her young sister, Stella.

2) Blanche demonstrates to be insecure, pushy, manipulative, delicate, “innocent”, and fearful. Her self-esteem greatly depends on the sexual admiration from men, and she is also traumatized because of her ex-husbands suicide act. She reflects impurity because she has to take baths constantly, to remove and wash away her past. She’s also insecure about her age, and hates being seen under bright light.

3) Blanche seems to be intelligent, she has first-class vocabulary and reflects to be very well educated. She has a wide range of vocabulary because she worked as an English teacher, and she also tends to mention all the books that she has read. Blanche is also very expressive, and says what she thinks no matter what, nothing can stop her. She often uses a seductive tone in order to attract men, and give a good impression.

4) Blanche desires a lot of things during the play. She mainly wants to refresh her life because of her traumatic past. She also wants to save her sister, Stella from being mistreated and abused from her husband, Stanley. She also wants to recover her economic status, and find a man that will love her forever no matter what.

5) Manipulating is the way that Blanche obtains what she wants. She always acts as an innocent, fragile, and delicate girl who needs protection and attention in order to get what she wants. She also lies in various aspects, and hides her past in order for people to have good thoughts about her.

6) When Blanche faces problems or conflicts, she tends to break down and get nervous. She is used to have a “victim” role, and she takes a bath in order to get rid of her troubles and pain.

7) Blanche is definitely emotionally unstable. She often lives a fantasy, rather than in reality. She is confused about what she desires, and what she wants for her future. She is resented with Stella because she “abandoned” Blanche and her family back at home, leaving Blanche with all of the charges. She is also depressed because she no longer gains money to take care of herself, because she was fired from her old school. She is also frustrated with Stella, because she can’t believe how Stella is still in the relationship with Stanley who mistreats and abuses her. Blanche is definitely unbalanced and is searching for happiness, but she isn’t exactly sure where to find it.

8) Blanche is seen differently through everyone’s eyes. Stanley misunderstands, judges, and accuses Blanche for being false and hiding everything. Mitch, on the other hand, sees her as a very sensible and delicate lady who needs help to recover from her past. Stella also views Blanche as a delicate flower who needs protection and attention to be happy, and flattered.

9) Blanche represents the ideal woman at the time. She has all of the physical features that reflect sensibility and femininity. She also depends on men’s opinions for her self-esteem, reflecting that she is weak, emotional, and insecure.

10) In society, Blanche reflects to be part of the upper social class. She is a very educated lady who worked, gained money, and had a relatively good life with all that she wanted, from necklaces and pearls, to a job and money.

11) Blanche is expected to be a sweet, delicate, soft, and dainty lady. She is expected to be very feminine and take care of herself in order to look and feel good. Most importantly, she is expected to follow men’s rules, but she sometimes rebels and challenges men like Stanley, making her look as the counterexample of the ideal lady.
1) He looks like black, actually he is 20 year old black man he is poor, he lives in white society

2) He lives in white society, so he scares of whites, and he is a murderer who killed white person called "Mary". He is uneducated person, and we can infer that he is poor by he lives in really small apartment with his family. In class we discussed that he is brave, and he is violent.

3) Of course he speaks like black person, but i think he has shorter vocabs, and grammar skills than other black people, because he is uneducated.

4) He needs money i think, he wants to live better life. And i think he feels inferiority, because he is black, and everyone is white in his society, so i think he wants to treat more fair like whites.

5) I don't see he becomes rich, or he has treated like whites. But the one thing is that he wanted to hang out with white(Mary) and he couldn't so he killed her. So i think he doesn't get anything what he wants.

6) He becomes violence when he faces to problems, because he is strong, and he is uneducated. So i think he can solve problems with his power, he doesn't use his brain because he didn't learn how to solve problems.

7) The biggest emotion about him is Fear, and Violence, because he feels he is different than others(whites) so he wants to be like them, but he faces the problems so he becomes violence. He doesn't know the word "Racism" he doesn't know how the society goes, so he needs to learn more, and needs to realize that where he lives, and where his life is belong.

8) Well he is a part of his family, so maybe his family thinks he is good one(?) maybe. Whites think he is a murderer because he kills "Mary".

9) I think he represents the black society during 19th century, that whites and blacks live together in "Racism" situation.

10) He wants to live better life in racism society, and he needs support his family by earning money. He tries to remove "White society" in his life.

11) People expect him to live his life not the life of whites. He judged by his skin color in his society, so he cannot do anything anyways.

1) Bigger is a 20 year old African-American. He is described as a big person, with no control over his body. His clothes we can infer are simple due to his economical status.

2) Bigger’s life mostly depends on the emotion of fear due to the effect of racism. This affects him in a psychological state since he lives with fear and anger towards the white society. Bigger feels inferior, and limited from living his life the way he would wish. He feels controlled; when he feels overwhelmed by these feelings he seeks violence. Through violence he gets a sensation of power, and superiority which he lacks.

3) The way Bigger speaks proves that’s he is uneducated. His talking is very limited vernacular. The way he speaks shows the person he is. He speaks in a very vague and soft matter showing that he lacks confidence.

4) Bigger’s main aspiration is power. He wants to be like every other white person, not feel alienated for a world he lives in. He wants to have the same opportunities whites have and be able to live a normal life without having fear. Fear takes over his life, not letting him carry on a normal one. He believes if he can obtain power he can feel superior and feel like someone important in a world where he is nothing.

5) The way Bigger gets what he wants is through violence. He is so trapped that the only way to let go all his tied up emotions is through violence. Once Bigger explodes he has no control over his body nor emotions creating him into an unstoppable monster. The person Bigger becomes is all because of the presence of racism in his life. Bigger tricks himself into believing that with the use of violence he can become someone important someone with power. This because this is the only way he can liberate his emotions and feel good about himself. But what mind boggles him is the fact that after of his escape of emotions through violence, he feels guilty and regrets his actions. Bigger is so caught up with how unhappy he is that he plays with his own mind.

6) The way that Bigger responds to problems is in a very paranoid manner, since he knows one of his mistakes could end with his life. Since blacks are always easier to blame. Once Bigger uses violence to calm his emotions he stands in a place of confusion of not knowing what to do. The way he responds to those problems is in a much precipitated way, all he wants to do is end what he started. For instance when he kills Mary he does not know what to do with the body, he begins to cut her up into small pieces, due to the desperation.

7) Bigger’s emotional state is being fear. Fear is the main component of his life, which controls him, and makes him.

8) In the eyes of the white society Bigger is a grain of sand, he is one in a bunch of the black society. They play don’t important role in the white society, they are a tool to them. The white society sees them as inferior.

9) Bigger represents racism. Racism has come to define Bigger as society forces him to become the stereotypical image of the black person. He symbolizes the black society, one who is trapped in a white world seeking for freedom, seeking for a reason to live, and pursue their dreams.

10) Bigger’s station is life is poor. He lives in a one- room scrammed apartment along with his mother, and two siblings. He is uneducated due to he never had the opportunity to become something else. Bigger in his mom’s eyes should be the provider of the family, he should have a job and help the family survive. But Bigger is in an internal fight with himself which leads him nowhere.

11) Not much is expected from Bigger since society does not expect much of a black person. The only one who expects a little from Bigger is his mom, because she is the need man figure in her life.
Stanly kowlasky is a muscular guy that comes from a polish decesnt. Daisy Miller is an attractive 17 year old girl. She cares about her appearance and therefore always looks clean and tidy. She usually wears dresses.

2. Daisy has a mixture of psychological traits. She is independent, curious and well meaning at the same time as she is shallow and ignorant. She is proper at the same time as she is improper. Daisy causes a controversy as to whether or not she is innocent. She is extremely flirty.

3. When she speaks, Daisy shows the reader just how shallow and ignorant she is; at one time, she thinks Winterbourne might know a lady just because she lives in Europe. This is an absurd question, as Europe is huge! She does, however, use her words in an intelligent manner in order to manipulate the people around her. She speaks sweetly in order to cover up how rebellious she is. The way she speaks often confuses people, especially Winterbourne. This happens because she is not clear with what she says, and she often contradicts herself.

4. Daisy's main desires are to manipulate men and make herself the center of attention. She loves to create scandals.

5. Daisy gets what she wants using skullduggery. She has little tricks to manipulate men into giving her what she wants. One of the many times she used this trickery was with Winterbourne, when she agreed to go on a date with him, but then instantly rejected him.

6. When faced with problems, Daisy, does what she wants. She ignores the rules of society and does what she desires, despite being frowned upon by people. The gossip about her does not stop her from doing what she wants. She actually loves to create problems, especially scandals.

7. I think Daisy Miller is emotionally unstable. She continuously tries to seek attention from men, this leads the reader to think she might be insecure.

8. Daisy is loved by some, yet hated by plenty. She refuses to stick to the European norms of society, which causes much gossip about her. Even at the beginning of the story, Winterbourne’s aunt thought lowly of her without even knowing her. Her flirty behavior later makes her the target of gossip. Many people think she is “slutty”. Winterbourne is confused on what to think of her; he is not sure whether she is innocent or not. Hoe does, however, think that she is extremely sweet.

9. Daisy Miller represents the common unsophisticated Americans who go to Europe. Her name, Daisy, represents a plant that grows everywhere; insinuating that her type is everywhere. Her last name, Miller, is a very common name in America, which further supports the idea that she is a common American. She represents the ignorance of the Americans, as they fail to adapt to the European ways of life. She represents a typical flirty, scandalous girl.

10. Daisy Miller comes from a high class American family. When she goes to Europe, she is seen more as a “common”.

11. The majority of the people have no high expectations for Daisy. Even her mother has low expectations of her, ad has given up trying to control her.
2.Bigger Thomas is a liar, a killer, has a lot of resentment inside because he is trying to achieve more than what he does have.He is a victim of racism, which has lead him to hate white people. He feels extreme anger and fear towards them.He had a short/ incomplete school life(until 8th grade). He lives in extreme poverty.he feels ashamed of what he has achieved in his life and the way his family lives. He is very violent towards people and always takes the easy way out in life.He is aggressive, especially with white people. He feels like his life has no real purpose. He's a coward for running away after killing Mary.It shows how he is immature and doesn't stand up to the consequences of his mistakes.

3.Bigger's way of speaking is ver unintelligent. You can clearly see when you are reading the book that his vocabulary is very short and not well developed, considering he had a short/incomplete education. His language is very simplistic.

4.At the beginning of the story you can see that what Bigger Thomas wants in his life is to be more successful and get something better out of his life for him and for his family. But as the story develops his focus is totally turned around. All he wants afterwards is to be free.Since he is found guilty for the killing of Mary, the police is looking for him and he wants to be free so he goes hiding and trying to escape from his consequences, because he knows he has no way out.

5.Bigger tries to get what he wants through violence. At the end of the story he never really get what he wants because he let's his fear and aggressive way of handling problems win him over.He is so trapped in this idea that he has created in his own mind that there is no way that he can get what he wants.

6.When faced with problems at the beginning Bigger would think of the worst way to get rid of them. For example when he killed Mary accidentally, the way he decapitates Mary's corpse to be able to get rid of it sickening and abnormal for a human being. He has no idea how to stand up for himself and the problems that he has caused. Every time he had a big obstacle or problem to get what he wanted he would kill that person or react in a very aggressive or violently way.

7.Bigger has a lot of tension due to the way his life has turned out to be that he slowly learned to release all his tension in a negative way.He is living with a constant fear towards life, himself, and people around him white or black. He feels like he has gone down a road that he has no way of turning it back.At the end of the story Bigger goes through an extreme change in his way of thinking. As he starts to talk a lot with Max his lawyer he starts to look at white people as individuals and he begins to realize the big impact that racism has had on his life and the way he has acted.

8.Other characters think Bigger is a serial killer, that is a threat towards white society. They thought that he would keep on killing people till he would get what he wanted. His friends criticize him for what he has done and the way he has handle his problems .Certain other characters like the Dalton's think he is hundred percent guilty of the killing of Mary and know that he is a coward that is running away but that will soon get what he deserves(death.)Characters in the book from the white society want him dead.

9.Bigger is a "native-son" meaning he was expected to descent into this criminal and violent being towards people around him.He lives in a very stereotypical society, and has been a victim of racism all his life.Racism has limited his opportunities in life and the conditions that he lives in.He is a perfect example of the psychological state of black victims during this time of racism.

10.He lives in a class of extreme poverty. He lives in a dwarfish apartment with all his family in Chicago's South Side.He lives in a society of extreme racism. At this time being a black person would limit your resources and what you would get out of life.He is suppose to give his family a better future but he can't/ doesn't because he let's his feelings take over his desires.

11.People expect from Bigger nothing less than what he has given to them.People expected him to due something negative that would ruin his life, because on that time of racism black people were born to a society where there options were limited.People expected him to be a criminal violent person, and that's what he gives them.Even though Bigger says he wishes to get something more out of life, he doesn't quite do a good job at having a brighter future, because all he does is ruin it.He did a lot of mistakes that he could've controlled, but his anger and resentment towards white society wins over the desire of having a better future. So he ended up proving the white society correct ,especially the Dalton's by throwing away the opportunity that they gave him.
