In 300 words (more or less), please take a scene or incident from one of the stories of this week and re-write the text using evocative writing that incorporates considerable sensory imagery. After this, in a posting of another 200 words, please respond to a classmates imagery assessing both the strength and functionality of the imagery, as well as what metaphorical or symbolic extensions we might derive from it (i.e., the sun setting in in "The Swimmer" might be considered a metaphor for the closing down of Neddy's life or psychological well-being.) The deadline for this posting will be Friday, 24th September, at 6pm.
Thanks.
